INTRODUCTION

Mission

THE MISSION

The mission, should you accept it, is to free the world from poor PowerPoint presentations.

We know that sounds ambitious. But time flies. A data tsunami is rolling towards us with digitization. If we don't take action now, we will drown in the data.

THE OPPONENT

But first, let's clear up a prejudice: It's not because of PowerPoint! The problem is that we still use it incorrectly.

Crowded slides with too much text. After all, it will be sent afterwards as a self-explanatory document. As an audience, we switch off, neither listen nor manage to penetrate the text. We didn't take much away from the presentation. Let alone that we now take action.

Or vice versa: Have you ever presented the results of your data analysis and then you got endless questions on more and more details? You had to go back and forth into analysis and report more details before a decision was made by your audience and action taken?

THE SECRET WEAPON

Then data storytelling will be your secret weapon.

The data findings are processed together with a easy-to-understand visualization and an exciting narrative. The usual excess of information is reduced to essential and relevant core statements. Listeners who are not data-savvy understand the content better. Your appeals are more effective and lead to the desired behavior of your audience (making a decision, taking action, etc.).

Consulting

THE USE

consulting

We consult you on your presentation. This can be any form of presentation: investor pitch, sales talks, staff meeting or key notes. Anywhere you want to inspire your listeners for your cause.

sneak peek

If you want to test the water first, ask us about the sneak peek workshop. In this 3-hour workshop, we offer the key note on data storytelling and the first two steps at a special price. You can then decide whether you would like to engage us for the rest of the consultation.

key note

Friederike Oehlerking appears as a key note speaker at your event. Data storytelling is just one of the topics that she conveys to her audience in an inspiring lecture.

DATASTORYTELLER

Friederike Oehlerking

"Communication is important to me because it is the key instrument for managing people and companies.

For data storytelling, I have more than 20 years of professional experience working in Germany and abroad.

I am a business economist and industrial engineer and have led small and large teams.

I particularly enjoy graphic design, new work and digitization and support women in STEM professions.

And there are stories to be told about all of this… lots and lots of stories."

"Friederike's excellent methodological knowledge and skills in presentations - especially her skills in data storytelling - helped me a lot to create a presentation that is understandable and exciting even for colleagues who are not from the field."
