Colors are crucial in data storytelling because they:

👉🏻 Engage emotions and enhance understanding.

👉🏻 Differentiate data categories for clarity.

👉🏻 Ensure accessibility and inclusivity.

👉🏻 Reinforce brand identity and consistency.

However, using colors wrongly can lead to misinterpretation, bias, and accessibility issues. Let's choose colors thoughtfully to create vibrant data stories responsibly!

My advice: start to create a chart in grey only and then highlight only those items you will actually talk about in your presentation by adding another splash of color!
